This Privacy Policy explains how IRYS IoT, LLC (“IRYS,” “we,” or “us”), which offers products and services under the IRYS Connect™ brand, handles information when you visit our website, purchase hardware, create an account, activate monitoring service, or contact us.
1. Information we collect
- Contact and account details: name, email address, company, telephone number, login credentials in protected form, and account preferences.
- Purchases and delivery: items ordered, invoice and order identifiers, shipping and billing addresses, order status, shipment details, and payment processor references. Payment-card data entered into Stripe-hosted checkout is handled by Stripe; we generally receive transaction identifiers and payment status rather than complete card numbers.
- Locations and devices: location names and addresses, device serial numbers, identifiers and models (including customer-provided logger models), subscription selection, device assignments, and activation history.
- Monitoring and notifications: temperature and humidity measurements, device status, configured alert thresholds, alert events, recipient addresses or telephone numbers, reports, and usage records.
- Technical and usage information: IP address, browser/device information, approximate location inferred from network traffic, diagnostic and security logs, cookies, and analytics measurements.
- Communications: customer support messages, requests, feedback, and records of service-related notices.
2. How we use information
We use this information to process and ship orders; create and secure customer accounts; register, assign, and activate devices; provide cellular connectivity, readings, alerts, dashboards, and reporting; bill authorized monthly or annual subscriptions; handle cancellations and support requests; detect abuse and fraud; maintain accounting and legal records; analyze site performance; and communicate operational or policy changes.
3. How we share information
We share information with service providers only as appropriate for business and service operations, such as payment processing (including Stripe), web hosting, cellular network service, monitoring/data infrastructure, email and text-message delivery, shipping, and analytics. We may disclose information as required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a legitimate business transfer. We do not make customer location and device data public.
Marketing and advertising: We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. If that changes, we will update this policy before doing so.
4. Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies or similar technologies for sign-in, security, and checkout. The website also uses Google Analytics to understand traffic and site usage. Depending on your device and browser, you can adjust cookie settings; blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in or checkout. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
5. Monitoring records, reports, and access
Monitoring information is linked to customer accounts, locations, and devices. Authorized account users may access readings and reports based on the features and permissions available to their service plan. Customers should avoid entering sensitive personal information into free-text location fields unless necessary. IRYS may access relevant records to deliver and troubleshoot the service, investigate suspected misuse, and meet legal obligations.
6. Data retention
Active monitoring subscriptions include 12 months of rolling measurement history, regardless of monthly or annual billing. Longer retention may be purchased separately. After subscription termination, the remaining measurement history is retained for another 12 months, then becomes eligible for deletion subject to legal holds and documented backup deletion procedures; access may cease at termination. Previously deleted data cannot be restored. These measurement retention periods do not necessarily apply to order, billing, security, or support records. We retain other information only as reasonably needed for service delivery, account administration, dispute handling, accounting, fraud prevention, and legal compliance. Requests to delete information may be limited where continued retention is required or reasonably necessary. Backups may be removed on a different schedule from primary systems.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information against unauthorized access or loss. No system or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Customers are responsible for protecting credentials and limiting access for their authorized users. Please notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized account access.
8. Your privacy choices and requests
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information; ask questions about the service data we hold; or update your account and notification settings where available. Applicable privacy laws may provide additional rights based on your location. We may verify identity before fulfilling a request and may need to preserve some information for legitimate legal or business purposes.
9. Children and international users
IRYS Connect™ is designed for business and professional users and is not directed to children under 13. The service is operated from the United States; customers located elsewhere should understand that information may be processed in the United States and in locations where service providers operate, subject to applicable requirements.
10. Changes and contact
We may revise this policy to reflect changes in practices, features, or legal requirements. The updated version will be posted on the website with a new effective date, and significant changes will be communicated when required.
